Why this page exists
We publish a lot of written material — Field Notes articles, Help Center answers, and product write-ups. This is how it gets made and how we correct it.
Sourcing
Specifications come from the manufacturer's own documentation wherever one exists. Where we state a number — torque, capacity, weight, runtime — it comes from the manufacturer or from our own bench measurement, and we say which.
What we will not do
We do not publish invented specifications, fake bench tests, borrowed reviews presented as our own, or comparison claims we cannot support. We do not accept payment for coverage, and no manufacturer has editorial input on anything published here.
AI use in writing
Drafting assistance is used, but nothing publishes without a human reading it, checking the claims against sources, and putting a name to it. Every article passes an automated quality gate that rejects generic filler before a person even sees it.
Commercial relationship
We sell the tools we write about. That is the obvious conflict, so we handle it by writing what is true rather than what sells: if a tool is the wrong choice for a job, the article says so, including when we have it in stock.
Reference retail prices
Where we show a comparison price, it is a retail figure observed at a specific source on a specific date, recorded in our system with that source and date. It is not our price and not a promise about any other seller's price.
Corrections
Errors get fixed in place, with the correction noted and the modified date updated. Substantive corrections are stated in the article rather than quietly edited out. Report anything wrong to jctoolsupply@gmail.com.
Reviews
Customer reviews are posted by verified buyers only. We do not pay for reviews, we do not write them, and we do not remove one for being negative.
